The Love Story of Paige and Scott

Paige and Scott met three years ago through mutual friends, and sparks flew instantly. Paige, always confident and intentional, didn’t waste time. On their first date, she asked Scott’s thoughts on marriage and family. Instead of being taken aback, Scott admired her straightforwardness. That moment set the tone for their relationship: open, honest, and deeply committed.

Marriage holds special significance for Paige and Scott. Their families boast over 300 years of combined marital experience, a testament to enduring love and commitment. It’s no wonder their wedding was steeped in timeless elegance and thoughtful details.

Have a candid conversation about your values early in your relationship. It sets the foundation for mutual understanding and long-lasting love.

The Wedding Day: Intimate and Joyful

Paige and Scott’s wedding day was intimate, joyful, and brimming with personal touches. After a heartfelt ceremony surrounded by loved ones, we whisked Paige and Scott away for a private moment. Overlooking sun-kissed downtown Ottawa, they shared a quiet toast with glasses of Veuve Clicquot, savouring the first moments as newlyweds.

Back at the N.A.C., the reception began with a delicious feast and speeches that brought laughter and tears. In a fun twist, instead of the traditional glass clinking, guests had to catch a fish from a mock fishing pond for the couple to kiss. This playful detail had everyone engaged and added a touch of whimsy to the evening.

As dinner concluded, the energy turned electric. The after-party kicked off, and Paige stunned everyone by revealing a bold new look—she chopped off her hair! Only us, Emily Michelson Photography, and hairstylist MA Pointe knew in advance, making it a thrilling surprise that left guests in awe. Every detail of the day, from the romantic ceremony to the spirited celebration, reflected Paige and Scott’s love and vibrant personalities.

The Wedding Design: Black Tie, English Garden Inspired Elegance

Paige and Scott’s wedding design was a masterpiece of romantic sophistication. Inspired by Paige’s love of flowers and soft colours, the aesthetic featured an English garden charm paired with a refined black-tie elegance. The entire look was a complete surprise for the couple, who entrusted us with creative freedom to bring their vision to life.

Dusty rose velvet accents and handmade floral-print napkins added a bespoke touch to the reception, while a handcrafted linen welcome sign warmly greeted guests. The room was filled with the intoxicating scent of lilacs foraged from the Ottawa area, creating the perfect spring atmosphere. Sentimental details, like a nod to their late pet Hunter and table names inspired by meaningful locations, added a deeply personal element. Every design choice came together seamlessly to craft a wedding that was both intimate and grand—a true reflection of Paige and Scott’s love story.

Real Feedback from Paige and Scott

“LOOK NO FURTHER! You have found the absolute best, full-service, wedding planning and design team. Brittany, Amanda and team blew us away with their knowledge, talent, professionalism, problem-solving, vision, and execution.

With a hectic work travel schedule, I needed to hire someone I could trust to make decisions on my behalf. We got to know Brittany throughout our time together and grew to trust her so much that we allowed her ‘carte blanche’ to design the florals and decor. This was the best decision I ever made. The stress melted away, and we felt we enjoyed the day even more with the added excitement of the element of surprise.

SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! From the stunning floral arch to the table settings, we were in awe. Not to mention the incredibly thoughtful personal touches she incorporated throughout. A few examples were incorporating our beloved pet Hunter who passed last year, to remembering my childhood home address for one of the table names. I could go on and on, but if you’ve read this far, I simply urge you to get in touch with Wild Bloem. You won’t regret it!”
