The Journey to Wild Bloem Studios: A Childhood Dream Turned Reality
The first thing that I told my mother I wanted to be when I “grew up” was a Wedding Planner. I said this after watching The Wedding Planner for the first time. Laying on my belly in front of the TV, I watched Jennifer Lopez execute the most beautiful wedding. I envied her headset, her periwinkle pantsuit, and her ability to pull everything together with such grace.
What started out as a childhood dream quickly became closer to reality after I planned my own wedding. I was the Bride with a binder of charts, to-do lists, and colour-coordinated tabs. I had binders for my binders and definitely drove everyone around me crazy with my obsessive list-making. But I quickly realized that no matter how “Type A” you are, there are always things that happen outside of your control. Fires will pop up, and if you don’t have a planner, you, or your loved ones, will be the ones putting them out.
After our wedding, I knew it was time to pursue my childhood dream. I spent two years researching, learning, and creating. In 2019, I launched my first wedding planning company, “Lupin and Lace Events.”
Fast forward four years, and here I am today. I may not be as hot as JLo or rock a periwinkle pantsuit, but I take immense pride in the company I’ve built. Wild Bloem Studios plans, designs, and coordinates beautiful and flawless weddings that celebrate love in all its forms.
